Shows & Festivals
There are many incredible shows and festivals around to enjoy. Here are a few of my favorites.

Stanfest
It’s not often that the memory of one man can motivate an entire town to come together and build on a dream. But Stan was no ordinary guy – his commanding baritone voice and his incredible legacy as a songwriting craftsman, have been etched within the Canadian and Maritime landscape – and within the memories of legions of fans – old and new.
In his all-too-brief lifetime, Stan managed to influence a whole generation of performers, while contributing to the emerging popularity of the East Coast Music scene. Stan wasn’t born a Maritimer – yet the Ontario-based songwriter’s family ties – and his love for the people and places of Nova Scotia’s Northeastern Shore, made him a frequent visitor to Canso and Guysborough County. These visits inspired Stan to write songs like The Jeannie C., Guysborough Train and Fogarty’s Cove – and they also earned Stan a place in the local folklore of the town and the region.
Some of the finest songwriters and performers in North America gather at this festival, to celebrate Stan’s lasting contributions to folk music. A new generation of powerful songwriters also come together with Stan’s family members, friends and associates not just to share remembrances – but to create new songs and stories

Rising Tide Festival
For 65 years, Fundy National Park has touched the hearts of millions of Canadians and has worked to conserve, restore and connect people with nature.
2016 is the 7th edition of the Rising Tide Festival on August 19-21. Each year they bring together musicians, artists and community in this extraordinary setting. Join them for the weekend to enjoy one of the best summer festivals the east coast has to offer!

Lunenburg Folk Festival
Folk Harbour is as much a concept… a feeling… as a place, a time or a festival. Born from a shared passion for music, it’s about finding yourself immersed for a few short days in a happening where your senses are fed with musical delights, scenic beauty and shared experiences.
The Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival brings the best in traditional and contemporary folk music to the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. We are Nova Scotia’s longest-running folk festival and have showcased great Nova Scotian, Canadian and international talent during our 25 years. We are proud to have introduced many of the Maritimes’ best-loved musicians to a wider audience on our stages.

Moncton Ribfest
The City of Moncton and Riverfront Park hosted RibFest, where you pay for the food and beverages you want. Each ribber has their own menu posted on a giant board in front of their mobile kitchen and smoker on wheels. Combining the music and entertainment of a folk festival with a BBQ Ribfest the City of Moncton hosts an annual Ribfest weekend.

Larlee Creek Hallabloo
Held in Perth-Andover, NB and known as the Little Festival that Could, the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo brings together some of the best talent the East Coast of Canada has to offer for one weekend of pure musical bliss.
The Larlee Creek Hullabaloo is known for its genre rich lineup, collaborative performances and the downhome hospitality we show our audience and the artists who ARE our event. August 10-14, 2016 treat yourself to an East Coast musicial experience you won’t soon forget!
